Employment Development Services
Coordinators aid in creating career goals, performance assessments and job coaching.
Those supported at RCO have opportunities to receive job training to help them gain new skills or utilize the skills they already have to help them find and sustain competitive employment. RCO will also support their current employment or aid in the search for community employment. In addition to helping find outside employment individuals can work with our staff on a variety of community jobs within our facility. These include laundry, button making and shredding. Work on a teamSupported Employment Teams (SETs) are community jobs at an area business, where you work with an RCO coach and other team members. Whether you have just graduated from a school transition program or are seeking a new challenge, finding a job doesn’t have to be an independent pursuit. SETs make it possible for you to become a skilled, wage-earning member of the community. We promote a person-centered approach where you can develop your skills as part of a supervised team. You can explore a variety of community job sites, while gaining experience and confidence that can lead to independent employment.
Work IndependentlyPlan and find your next job! Work 1:1 with an RCO Employment Specialist to develop your employment plan, create a resume, identify support needs and prepare for interviews. Once your planning is complete, our team serves as a resource to conduct and support you in a focused job search with an emphasis on engagement and skill building. With the support of RCO you will engage in assessments, activities and experiences that introduce you to competitive, integrated work. You will complete paid work experiences in the community to explore skills and interests.
